Our agency was born in 1983. It was an unusual birth. You see, agencies typically are formed when people from other agencies get together to do their own thing with dreams of prestigious clients, piles of awards and a really cool collection of European sports cars. However in our case…

Our founder, David Sandweiss, WAS one of those prestigious clients, paying an agency that seemed more interested in awards and autos than in generating results. He released the agency, tried it The Sandweiss Way and increased sales 93% in the first year. One thing led to another (if you want the full story, we probably need to have lunch) and Dave started his own agency with dreams of a handful of small clients and a quiet one person shop working out of his home.

Only one problem... The Sandweiss Way was different. His clients grew dramatically. His phone started ringing. Soon he needed help. So he called one of his media reps, Kevin Koster, and asked if he knew anyone who might be interested. Again, one thing led to another and The Sandweiss Way became The SK Way.

The agency that started in a small apartment now overlooks downtown Kansas City from its 5th expanded office. Our client list includes local and national firms and has become a collection of before and after stories of which we’re very proud. Our staff has grown to include some of the most experienced marketing and media professionals in the region. The media department, long-heralded as “the best media strategists and negotiators in KC,” now negotiates media in dozens of markets around the country, in national media and even overseas. And our strategic creative model puts an experienced team of the region’s most decorated creative talent at the disposal of our clients.
